      John David Roundtree, a native of New Orleans, has lived a life shaped by adventure—from piloting high-speed offshore vessels to flying tactical fighters in the U.S. Air Force, where he graduated second in his class of Fighter Pilots with the tactical call sign –“Rounder.” As a flight instructor and Chief of Training in Germany, he helped lead his squadron to the prestigious “Best in USAFE” award and later served as a test pilot, pushing fighters to their maneuvering limits, thrusting them beyond twice the speed of sound.

      After his military service, John chose to pursue new, equally rewarding challenges and adventures. He flew privately for Kenny Rogers before becoming a captain with American Airlines, again traveling the world. And following 9/11, he volunteered as a Federal Flight Deck Officer, training with Federal Marshals in the deserts of New Mexico.
