     A native of New Orleans, John David Roundtree has lived a life shaped by adventure—from piloting high-speed offshore vessels to flying tactical fighters in the U.S. Air Force, where he graduated second in his class with the call sign “Rounder.” As a flight instructor and Chief of Training in Germany, he helped lead his squadron to the prestigious “Best in USAFE” award, then served as a test pilot, pushing fighters beyond twice the speed of sound.

     When his military service ended, John traded one adventure for another. He flew privately for Kenny Rogers before becoming a captain with American Airlines, once again circling the globe. After 9/11, he volunteered as a Federal Flight Deck Officer, training alongside Federal Marshals in the deserts of New Mexico to help keep the skies safe.
